As we are a family friendly camp-site, groups of adults may only stay with a prior booking, at our discretion.

We have a rule of absolute silence and no alcohol after 11pm (quiet time 10pm), which is enforced with a ‘no noise/drinking’ deposit of €50 per person, returnable only if there has been no noise/disturbance. If we are called out for noise disturbance after 11pm you will be asked to leave and ALL deposits in you group will be kept. Non-paying guests must leave the campsite by 9.30pm

# Please be aware that talking so others can hear you in nearby tents is regarded as noise

# Pre-recorded music/radio is not allowed on the camp site unless you have your headphones! Musical instruments are allowed, played quietly as so not to disturb others

When you make a booking, a Paypal or cheque payment of 50% is required within
10 days to secure your booking. If your deposit isn’t received within 10 days Chleire Haven will automatically cancel your booking. Please bring your balance in cash to pay on arrival (there are no ATMs on the island). A debit or credit card will be required when checking in.

#Tent bookings- When booking a Friday, Saturday or Sunday night a €25 non-refundable booking fee is required via PayPal when booking. This will be deducted from your balance on arrival.

YURTS/BELL TENTS:

Check in is available from 3pm-5pm, please contact us if you require a late check in.
If on arrival you find any items or fittings, utensils, crockery or cutlery is broken, damaged or missing, please report to a member of staff and it will be replaced. Should any damage or breakages occur during the period of your stay you will be held responsible and your debit card will be charged to the lowest market value.

Check out is at 11am.
Please ensure your yurt/bell tent is left the way you found it and food/refuse is disposed of responsibly in the recycle bins provided. Please ensure all dishes are washed, dried and put back in your yurt. If your yurt/bell tent requires extra cleaning your debit card will be charged €25

CAMPING WITH YOUR OWN TENT
Check in is from 12pm-5pm if a late check in is required please contact us. Please ensure you have disposed of your food/refuse responsibly in the bins provided. Please do not leave broken tents/camping chairs, we can arrange
for them to be disposed at a charge of €10.

ON ARRIVAL
Please let us know which ferry you will be arriving on and we will meet you on the pier to collect your luggage

(if you don’t let us know, we won’t be there!) If arriving on your own boat please contact Bus Cleire on 086 383 6759 to arrange luggage collection (please check in before 5pm)

ON DEPARTURE
Please let us know which ferry you will be leaving on the day before departure. We will bring your luggage down to the pier from the 12pm ferry onwards (if leaving on the 9am or 10am ferry please contact Bus Cleire for collection, €2 per bag) If leaving later than the 12pm ferry we will store your luggage for you, please ensure you are on the pier 15 mins before the ferry leaves to collect your luggage from the van.

Dogs are welcome at no extra charge. Please bring a bed/blanket for them as they aren’t permitted on the soft furnishings. DO NOT leave them at the campsite by themselves and please ensure you clean up after them.
Charges will apply if you do not adhere to these rules.

6. Young children must be supervised at all times in all communal areas and must not be left alone in the yurts or bell tents. Please clean up after children in communal areas and don’t leave a mess for others.

7. Please ensure suitable footwear is worn around the campsite, the grass will become slippy when wet. Please do not go up and down the banks on the campsite, use paths provided. Under no circumstances climb over the fences to access the cliffs below the yurts.

8. Fires are restricted strictly to the wood burning stoves and braziers only. No open fires or fires in BBQs are permitted. No firearms, hunting or fireworks are permitted on Cape Clear Island.

9. For insurance purposes anyone under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult over the age of 25 in the yurts or bell tents.

10. Please bring a torch with you and ensure you use it on the campsite when it’s dark.

11. DEPOSITS AND CANCELLATIONS. Cancellations will result in your deposit being forfeited, even if you want to change dates, unless we can fill your original booking. This is because it may be too late to fill your original booking and others have been refused because the dates were reserved for you. Please note vouchers or any special offer payments will also be forfeited if we can’t fill your original booking. Any refunds processed
will be subject to a €20 administration fee. *COVID 19: we do not offer refunds in the event of temporary closure/ lockdowns however as a good will gesture we will happily move your booking or issue you with a voucher for your paid deposit.

12. Chleire Haven reserves the right to cancel a holiday at short notice if we are unable to provide safe accommodation due to weather. A full refund will be returned (no admin fee applied)

13. There is a strict NO SMOKING POLICY in any of our yurts or bell tents. Your debit card will be charged €50 if we believe you have been smoking in them. Please ask for an ashtray for cigarette butts and dispose of them properly.

14. Chleire Haven cannot be held responsible for any lost, damage or stolen property.
